Release Update!

A Happy New Year to anyone who has followed this blog or taken an interest in Football, Take Me Home, we’ve been incredibly grateful for your support in the last year!

We had hoped that the film would be ready for release by now but circumstances beyond our control have unfortunately pushed us into 2014. We’ve been busy though, and in the next couple of weeks we have some very good news to bring you on the release schedule, including details of where you’ll hopefully be able to see the film… So keep watching the blog and twitter for updates.

In the meantime, we need your help! Our aim was always to make a film that would truly be a fans film, so to us there seems no better way than including your clips and photo’s in the movie. In the next couple of days we’ll be posting more details of how to be involved but we want you to help us paint a picture of life as a Vegalta fan, before and after 3/11 – So start digging out your old home movies and photo’s!

We’re really excited that things are coming together. Keep watching!

Hotspur’s Coming Home

Picture-86Harry Hotspur, fine purveyors of all tidings Tottenham Hotspur (with a nice set of saucepans thrown in) have very kindly run a splendid piece on our endeavours to bring the film to life. Anyone not familiar with the site among our followers in Japan, could do worse than bookmark HH as a cut-out-and-keep guide to irreverent British football humour. It also makes a good fire lighter on the cold winter nights.

You can take a look here.

FTMH on TWTD… OK!

20130228-162143.jpgReally nice piece from the guys at TWTD, a great blog dedicated to the life and times of Ipswich Town Football Club. Its a club that holds a pivotal role in the story of how this film came about, and for those not acquainted with the tale, theres a few happy minutes to be spent reading Harry’s blog pieces on TWTD over a cup of coffee (See below link). We were delighted to be able to film at the club recently and look forward to going back to visit in the near future for some fun stuff that you’ll be able to read about soon!

we’re Live on kickstarter!

kickstarterIn a project such as this, funding is sadly one of the most important aspects of getting the film to screen – Especially given the logistics of getting the crew back and forth to Japan. We’ve met these costs ourselves so far but there is a time when you need some help. So, we’re sending word out to all football fans out there… Help us get this great film to screen by becoming part of the ‘Football, Take Me Home’ project. Help make this a real fans film, by fans, for fans.

There’s a long way to go but if we can get word out to as many friends as possible, we can make this the best film that it can be… True Vegalta style.

Follow the link below to go to our Kickstarter page and see how you can get involved – There’s even some nice things in store if you can help. We’re not unappreciative here at FTMH!

Football, Take Me Home – First Teaser

The first teaser trailer for Football, Take Me Home is finally online. Cut from footage from our first trip in November, the teaser sets the tone of our production and acts as a taster of things to come. We’re back out in Sendai in March as well as shooting in the UK and in a couple of other surprise locations. More to be revealed along the way.

Keep following us on twitter and facebook as we’ll be posting some mini-movies over the next couple of months that will give you more of the stories behind the film.
